During the meeting, the key directions of the student research group development were discussed. Members Board  of the SRG Data Science in particular presented the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Action program for the coming year (<strong>Ksawery Smoczy\u0144ski<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Conferences and meetings about data science (<strong>Alex Dro\u017cd\u017c<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Scientific activity (<strong>Miko\u0142aj Szymczak<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Cooperation with companies and other student research groups (<strong>Jacek Jankowiak<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Organizational matters of the SRG (<strong>Szymon Kopyta<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the meeting it was also presented issues related to the theory and practice of the use of Data Science in different areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wikipedia, DBpedia, Wikidata (<strong>W\u0142odzimierz Lewoniewski<\/strong>, supervisor of SRG Data Science)<\/li>\n<li>Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies (<strong>Dr. Piotr Stolarski<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Data Science tools and methods  (<strong>Piotr Ka\u0142u\u017cny, MSc.<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of news and comments on Polish websites (<strong>Dr. Jacek Ma\u0142yszko<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim of the student research group is to propagate knowledge about Data Science and data analysis by means of information technology, teaching and improving students&#8217; skills in computer programming through the implementation of research projects, undertaking cooperation with other student organizations in order to implement projects and mutual exchange of experience.<\/p>\n<p>SRG Data Science webpage on Facebook: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SKNDataScienceUEP\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.facebook.com\/SKNDataScienceUEP\/<\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"margin:10px; padding: 10px; border: 1px #cccccc solid;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/sites\/default\/files\/skn20181.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/sites\/default\/files\/skn20181.jpg\" style=\"width:100%\" title=\"During the organizational meeting of SKN Data Science.
