\"\"<\/a>During the Researchers’ Night 2022, the employees of our Department conducted workshops entitled “Truth or fake news? How not to be fooled on the Internet<\/strong>“. Each participant of this event could learn how complex and interesting research in the field of identifying false information can be.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>For this workshop, Dr. Milena Str\u00f3\u017cyna<\/a>, Dr. W\u0142odzimierz Lewoniewski<\/a> and Dr. Piotr Stolarski<\/a> prepared a presentation in which they showed the most important issues related to the concept of fake news and the differences between false information and truth. In addition, participants learned about ways to check information on social media. Some of these ways may be like playing detective.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Researchers’ Night – is a popular science event that takes place all over Europe every year. \"\"<\/a>The aim of the event is to bring scientists and society closer together, to create an opportunity to meet, get to know each other and work together in a fun atmosphere. On this one night, scientists distract from their daily duties to find out, together with the audience, that science can be interesting and fascinating. This year’s edition of the Scientists’ Night took place on September 30.<\/p>\n
