{"id":335,"date":"2018-03-16T21:12:36","date_gmt":"2018-03-16T21:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/?p=335"},"modified":"2023-08-26T21:29:59","modified_gmt":"2023-08-26T21:29:59","slug":"lecture-on-wikipedia-quality-at-high-school-no-1-in-poznan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/news\/lecture-on-wikipedia-quality-at-high-school-no-1-in-poznan\/","title":{"rendered":"Lecture on Wikipedia quality at High School No. 1 in Pozna\u0144"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March 14, 2018, during the celebration of the International Pi Day for students of the Karol Marcinkowski High School No. 1 in Pozna\u0144, <a href=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wlodzimierz-lewoniewski\/\">W\u0142odzimierz Lewoniewski<\/a> gave an open lecture on automatic assessment of information quality in multilingual Wikipedia.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>During the lecture, the history of Wikipedia development, the most important principles and problems of this popular encyclopedia were presented.  Pupils learned how to self-assess the quality of information contained in this global knowledge base. Additionally, DBpedia as the semantic version of Wikipedia was introduced.<\/p>\n<p>In the second part of the lecture W\u0142odzimierz Lewoniewski talked about scientific research related to the measures and methods of assessing the quality of information in Wikipedia.
