During this event, representatives of our Department presented research results on assessing the quality of student essays written by ChatGPT. This year&#8217;s edition of the conference and congress was held in a hybrid mode (onsite in Olsztyn near Cz\u0119stochowa and remotely). The organizers of these events are the the Scientific Society of Economic Informatics (NTIE) and the Department of Information Management Systems at the Faculty of Management of the Cz\u0119stochowa University of Technology.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/eseje_chatgpt.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/eseje_chatgpt-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/eseje_chatgpt-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/eseje_chatgpt-768x509.jpg 768w, https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/eseje_chatgpt-360x238.jpg 360w, https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/eseje_chatgpt.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Writing student essays using ChatGPT can lead to various problems. For example, the use of automatic text generation tools may impair students&#8217; critical thinking skills and their ability to formulate arguments on their own. Additionally, essays produced by language models may not reflect a student&#8217;s true understanding of the topic. Furthermore, there is a risk that such works will have a uniform tone and lack individual character.<\/p>\n<p>Presentation entitled &#8220;Assessment of the quality of student essays written by ChatGPT&#8221; was presented by <a href=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/witold-abramowicz\/\">Prof. Witold Abramowicz<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/krzysztof-wecel\/\">Prof. Krzysztof W\u0119cel<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/kie.ue.poznan.pl\/en\/milena-strozyna\/\">Dr. Milena Str\u00f3\u017cyna<\/a> as part of the session &#8220;Artificial intelligence from the perspective of science and teaching&#8221;.
