On October 4, 2024, a meeting of the staff of the Department of Information Systems at the Pozna\u0144 University of Economics and Business took place. The meeting was led by Prof. Krzysztof W\u0119cel<\/a>, the new head of the Department, who was appointed to this position on October 1, 2024. The meeting was dedicated to presenting and discussing the Department’s strategy for the upcoming academic year in connection with the new University strategy being developed for 2024-2028.<\/p>\n

It is worth recalling that the Department of Information Systems was established in 1990<\/a> at our University (at that time the Pozna\u0144 Academy of Economics<\/em>) within the Faculty of Economics. From its inception until September 2024, the Department was headed by Prof. Witold Abramowicz<\/a>. We thank the Professor for many years of setting the development directions of our team! We wish him success in fulfilling the mission of the Rector’s Advisor for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation.<\/p>\n

As part of personnel changes, we have bid farewell to Dr. Marcin Szmydt<\/a>, to whom we wish success in realizing his business endeavors. We welcome our graduate Izabela Czuma\u0142owska<\/a> to the team.<\/p>\n
