AI Transformations: I Have a Robot and I’m Not Afraid to Use It!

On March 17, 2025, the Poznań University of Economics and Business hosted the fifth AI and Transformation Seminar — AI Transformations — under the hybrid formula. Titled “I Have a Robot, and I’m Not Afraid to Use It! RPA, Agentic AI, and Document Understanding”, it focused broadly on process automation, including the robotization of business processes, the use of intelligent agents, and the application of artificial intelligence to process and analyze digital documents.

The event was organized in partnership with UiPath, Subeo, and Mindbox. Key speakers included:

  • Daniel Chrapczyński, Autonomous Enterprise Manager
  • Monika Kosicka, Partner/Business Automation Manager at SUBEO
  • Aleksandra Rzeszutko, Commercial Account Executive at UiPath
  • Krzysztof Sikora, Head of Business Development at Mindbox

Key highlights discussed during the seminar:

  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Participants observed live demonstrations showcasing how software robots handle repetitive tasks, freeing up human workers for more creative and complex responsibilities. Effective implementation, however, demands precisely defined processes, a challenge given the diversity of tasks.
  • Agentic AI. A sophisticated form of AI was presented, highlighting its capability not only to analyze data but also to autonomously perform human-like tasks and decisions.
  • Document Understanding. Practical case studies illustrated how AI significantly enhances document processing efficiency. Despite substantial benefits, the deployment of such systems can face technical hurdles, including varied document formats and institutional specifics.
  • Communications Mining. This technology enables the decoding of customer intentions, fostering deeper insights into unstructured organizational processes.
