Second Workshop on Web Scraping

This time, the workshop focused on techniques for extracting data from dynamically loaded websites. Participants learned about tools like Selenium and methods to handle “lazy loading”. They had a unique opportunity to see firsthand how automated data extraction works in practice.

It’s important to note that this was the second part of the Web Scraping workshops. The session was led by Mateusz Kuczyński, a student at our University who combines his master’s studies in Informatics and Econometrics with professional work in data exploration. The instructor guided participants step-by-step through the stages of implementing and configuring tools, demonstrating how to optimize the process of obtaining information from various sources. As a result, participants gained both theoretical foundations of automation and practical skills, directly enhancing their efficiency in ongoing projects.

The workshop took place on March 13, 2025. The event was organized by SRG Data Science.
