Lecture titled “A Day in the Life of a Data Scientist – How Your Technical Skills Will Be Useful at Work“ took place at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. The meeting was led by Jacek Jankowiak, an alumnus of our university, co-founder of SRG Data Science, and currently a Senior Data Engineer.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn how the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies are applied to real business tasks. Attendees learned about the daily responsibilities of data science professionals, their work environment, and the technologies they commonly use. Real-world challenges faced by data analysis experts were also discussed.
The lecture provided students with an opportunity to network with a professional who has successfully established himself in the IT industry, and to obtain practical career guidance. Thanks to this event, participants now have a better understanding of job market expectations and can more effectively direct their career development to successfully compete for attractive positions in the field of data science.
