The recording of the lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Digital Transformation” by Prof. Witold Abramowicz, Advisor to the Rector for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, has been published on YouTube.
In the process of digital transformation, which is by nature iterative and accelerating, a number of challenges arise. They are particularly visible when we look at increasingly deeper levels of digitization – from the digitization of data carriers, through changing the way and place of work, to the development and implementation of new business models. All these challenges make up the increasingly dynamic and iterative process of digital transformation.
Artificial intelligence can become a key driver of digital transformation. Unlike humans, artificial intelligence is not guided by emotions, but by cold logic and statistical calculations, which allows it to consistently achieve its set goals. It is also relatively easily scalable, but at the same time it can be difficult to fully explain and optimize. As a result, modern organizations may be challenged to effectively combine AI capabilities with human creativity, accountability, and control so that new business models and improved processes are not only effective, but also ethical and understandable.

It is worth recalling that the Department of Information Systems is currently implementing the OpenFact project, headed by Prof. Witold Abramowicz. As part of this project, tools for automatic detection of fake news in Polish are being developed.
The lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Digital Transformation” was delivered during the CyberEXPERT 2024 conference. The event took place on November 5-6 at the Military Technical Academy Club under the honorary patronage of the Minister of National Defense.
