The 27th edition of the international BIS conference will take place on 23–25 June 2027 at Poznań University of Economics and Business, Poland. BIS is a well-established international conference dedicated to business information systems. Since its inception, it has served as a forum for researchers and industry practitioners to exchange knowledge and share the latest research on the development, implementation, use, and improvement of information systems supporting business operations.
Rapid advances in artificial intelligence are increasingly challenging organizations to effectively combine human expertise with the capabilities of intelligent systems. As autonomous AI agents become more widespread, responsible technology adoption, effective coordination, and a clear division of responsibilities between humans and AI are becoming increasingly important. The theme of BIS 2027 is “Orchestrating Human and Artificial Intelligence in Business“. It highlights the need to develop new models of collaboration in which human expertise and AI capabilities complement one another. Particular attention will be given to human–AI collaboration, the management of autonomous AI agents, and the use of intelligent technologies in business processes.
