On February 27, 2024, Prof. Preslav Nakov from Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) visited the Department of Information Systems at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. During the meeting, the next stages of cooperation in the field of fake news detection using artificial intelligence were discussed.
Prof. Preslav Nakov is the head of the Department of Natural Language Processing. His research interests include natural language processing, disinformation, propaganda, fact checking, detection of fake news and media bias, machine translation.
It is worth recalling that the Department of Information Systems is implementing the OpenFact project, the aim of which is to develop a tool for verifying the credibility of information sources on the Internet and detecting fake news using artificial intelligence methods. Cooperation with world leaders in this area may contribute to improving methods of news analysis in Polish language.
