Awards in the 15th PUEB Foundation Competition for the Best Doctoral Theses

In the jubilee 15th edition of the PUEB Foundation competition for the best doctoral dissertations defended at the Poznań University of Economics and Business in the 2018/2019 academic year, the members of the Department of Information Systems took the first two places. Each work was assessed according to the following criteria: the scientific value of the dissertation, the originality of the research issues undertaken in the dissertation, the importance of the issues for economic and social practice, the ability to select and use sources, knowledge of the world literature on the subject, formal side of the work.

1st place – Dr. Włodzimierz Lewoniewski
for the PhD thesis: The method of comparing and enriching information in multilingual wikis based on the analysis of their quality. Thesis supervisor: Prof. Witold Abramowicz; auxiliary supervisor: Prof. Krzysztof Węcel.

2nd place – Dr. Marcin Szmydt
for the PhD thesis: Predicting customers’ future online banking activity to support electronic banking promotional campaigns. Thesis supervisor: Prof. Witold Abramowicz; auxiliary supervisor: Dr. Milena Stróżyna.
