Members of our department Prof. Witold Abramowicz and Dr. Milena Stróżyna participated in the European Defense Innovation Day in Brussels. At the invitation of the European Defense Agency (EDA), DIS representatives prepared a stand where the results of the SIMMO II research project were presented.
The aim of the project was to create a system for the analysis of maritime data, based on modern data science methods and Big Data technologies. The developed system allows real-time monitoring of the movement of over 200,000 ships on seas and oceans around the world and detects anomalies in the behavior of ships.
The European Defense Innovation Day was held on May 31, 2022. The event was devoted to the development and application of research in the field of defense and the synergy between civil innovation and defense in European countries.
