In the latest issue of Blockchains, an article by our scientists “Blockchain as an Enabler of Generic Business Model Realization” fills a critical gap between business‑model theory and the practical deployment of distributed‑ledger technology. The authors pose three key research questions: how does blockchain reshape industry dynamics, what characteristics define blockchain‑based business models (BMs) and does the technology truly enable entirely new ways of conducting business?
Students of Informatics and Econometrics, Mikołaj Tym and Jakub Żerebecki, participated in the international scientific conference “Using Data from the Web to Shape the Next Generation of Labour Market and Skills Analysis”, organized by Cedefop at the headquarters of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels.
We invite you to submit research papers to workshops at the 25th International Conference on Business Information Systems (BIS 2025), which will be held on June 25–27, 2025 at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. The workshops will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, as well as to present innovative technological solutions among experts from both academia and industry.
Member of our Department, Dr. Piotr Stolarski, took third place among the PUEB employees in the “GSK Economic Five” (“GSK Ekonomiczna Piątka”) run for the title of HM the Rector of the Poznań University of Economics and Business. This was the 14th edition of the 5-kilometer race around Lake Malta.
Lecture titled “A Day in the Life of a Data Scientist – How Your Technical Skills Will Be Useful at Work“ took place at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. The meeting was led by Jacek Jankowiak, an alumnus of our university, co-founder of SRG Data Science, and currently a Senior Data Engineer.
