The Impact of Crises on Maritime Traffic: A Case Study of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the War in Ukraine

The article by employees of our Department was published in the journal “Networks and Spatial Economics” by Springer. The work analyzes the impact of international crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, on maritime traffic and their consequences for the global and local economy.

Data analysis in the maritime domain

Poznań University of Economics and Business Press has published a book “Data analysis in the maritime domain“. The book summarizes many years’ research of the DIS team in the maritime domain, which were realized within the completed projects (SIMMO I and HANSA) as well as individual research. Authors of the book: Milena Stróżyna, Witold Abramowicz, Krzysztof Węcel, Jacek Małyszko and Dominik Filipiak.

Extracting Maritime Traffic Networks from AIS Data Using Evolutionary Algorithm

The scientific article of the team of the Department of Information Systems has been published in the BISE journal.
