Generative AI in Business Practice

At the Poznań University of Economics and Business, an open lecture titled “Generative AI: From Hype to Real Business Value” was held, delivered by Daniel Korzeniowski, Head of Gen AI & Automation at the Żabka Group. During the lecture, practical examples of using large language models were presented – from early prototypes to scalable implementations that can deliver measurable business benefits.

SRG Data Science: Organizational Meeting 2025/2026

On October 30th, the organizational meeting of the Student Research Group “Data Science” took place. During the meeting, the group’s directions of activity and the plan for the 2025/2026 academic year were discussed. This year’s workshops and lectures will focus on developing fundamental skills in data analysis and creating projects using Python and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript). Meetings with industry professionals are also planned.

First place in the 29th PUEB Foundation competition for the best bachelor’s and engineering thesis

In the 29th edition of the UEP Foundation’s competition for the best bachelor’s and engineering thesis defended at the Poznań University of Economics and Business in the 2023/2024 academic year, the thesis titled “Detecting Human Faces Generated by Artificial Intelligence Models” won first place. The author of the thesis: Patryk Danielewicz, the supervisor: Prof. Krzysztof Węcel.

SRG Data Science: inaugural meeting 2024/2025

The inaugural meeting of the Student Research Group “Data Science” in the academic year 2024/2025 was held at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. During the meeting, the planned activities of the SRG Data Science and proposals for areas of activity in the coming months were discussed. Additionally, employees of our Department presented the opportunities and challenges related to data analysis in various areas.

Behavioral modeling – challenges and opportunities

An open lecture titled “BaseModel: introduction to behavioral modeling” took place at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. The lecture was led by Ksawery Smoczyński, Machine Learning Engineer at Synerise BaseModel. It is worth mentioning that Ksawery is a graduate of the Poznań University of Economics and Business and one of the founders of SRG Data Science.
