During the WiTIwKP 2022 conference, awards were presented in the 25th edition of the Scientific Society of Business Informatics (Polish abbr. “NTIE”) for the best diploma theses in the field of business informatics. Bachelor’s theses written under the supervision of Prof. Agata Filipowska were ranked first and third.
By the decision of the Office of Academic Advancement Board of the University of Economics in Poznań of January 14, 2022, our employee Piotr Kałużny was awarded a doctoral degree in the discipline of “economics and finance”. At the same time, the Office of Academic Advancement Board, supporting the proposal of the Doctoral Committee awarded the doctoral dissertation with distinction.
On the 8 to 12 October 2018 in Monterey (CA) the 17th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC 2018) took place. Szymon Wieczorek, a student collaborating with the Department of Information Systems, partaken in the conference on behalf of our university. On the 22 – 23 November 2016, the fifth edition of the Big Data Congress took place, in which the Honorary Chairman of the Program Council is Prof. Witold Abramowicz. The Congress is attended by all significant suppliers of products and services concerning Big Data. In the current edition, there were approximately 650 participants. Agata Filipowska, Monika Kaczmarek and Jakub Dzikowski participated in Insemtives project meeting, Folgaria, Italy, February 8-10. Insemtives is a 7FP collaborative project, coordinated by STI Innsbruck.
Jakub Dzikowski participated in the ICEIS2011 conference (International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems). The conference took place on June, 8-11 in Beijing, China. During the conference, he presented the paper “Web Interface for Semantically Enabled Experts Finding System” written by DIS members: Witold Abramowicz, Elżbieta Bukowska, Jakub Dzikowski, Agata Filipowska and Monika Kaczmarek.
